Ages and Ages

Portland-based Indie-folk, Choral Pop

Whether you classify them as indie-folk or choral pop, the Portland-based group Ages and Ages will get your heart pumping and your hands clapping. Referred to as a “secular band with a big tent revival sound” the vocally and rhythmically driven band has been gaining positive critical attention around the globe. As it happens, lead singer, Tim Perry plays a Martin Dreadnought and this mostly acoustic show will demonstrate the Dreadnought’s place in indie-pop scene.

This event is presented in conjunction with the Dreadnought: 100 Years of a Mighty Martin Guitar special exhibition.

Dreadnought: 100 Years of a Mighty Martin Guitar

Jan 4 - ongoing

In 1833, guitar maker Christian Frederick Martin crossed the ocean in search of freedom from restriction and the opportunities of a new land. Settling in Nazareth, PA, his arrival marked the beginning of what is now a 6-generation continuously family owned and operated company, C.F. Martin & Co., and a tradition of American guitar building.

One of Martin's greatest contributions to our musical landscape was its 1916 introduction of the Dreadnought style guitar. Named after the game changing British war ship, the HMS Dreadnought, this large-bodied, powerful acoustic guitar still thrives today. It is a primary tool of countless musicians, and a mainstay in the factories and shops of guitar builders around the globe.

Come visit this unique special exhibition and experience the Dreadnought for yourself.

Photo Ark

Feb 1 - Apr 30, 2017

Photo Ark is a multiyear National Geographic project with a simple goal - to create portraits of the world’s species before they disappear and to inspire people to care. Each image is a visual connection between the animals and people who can help protect them. With ingenuity and wit, National Geographic photographer Joel Sartore has captured portraits of more than 6,000 creatures to date, with a goal of creating these important records of existence for an estimated 12,000 species in captivity. This exhibition features approximately 30 of the photographer's iconic images and allows visitors to follow Sartore around the world on this exciting and important project.
