La Vista Memorial Park and Mortuary Memorial Day Celebration

May 28, 2018

La Vista Memorial Park and Mortuary, one of the San Diego's oldest and most historic cemeteries, will host its annual Memorial Day ceremonies Monday, May 28th, at 1:00 PM at its picturesque hilltop setting located at 3191 Orange St., in National City.

Over the years, La Vista’s Memorial Day activities have evolved into a community wide event supported enthusiastically by National City public officials and draws visitors from all over San Diego County.

"To us, Memorial Day is a chance for the entire community to come together, to pause and remember the lives given to protect us when we most needed it, and also to celebrate the sense of community that ensures here because of that sacrifice," said Luisa McCarthy, Event Organizer. As a symbol of that community spirit, several public officials will roll up their sleeves to serve the lunch in what has become an important component of La Vista’s Memorial Day tradition.
