Light & Time Workshop

Apr 6, 2019

The two basic ingredients of photography are light and time, and for much of history, the light used to make a photograph came from the most common natural source we know: the sun. The process is similar to the reaction that occurs inside a solar cell, as UV light reacts to create a charge which is stored to be used as energy.

To mark the equinox where the days begin to get longer, join us in this demo at MOPA where we'll step back in time and explore parallels between solar technology and the origins of photography, using basic chemistry, water, and the sun.
