Lunch and Learn with Elsa Sevilla

The Art of Lomaland

Join us at the San Diego History Center to learn more about the artistic history of the Theosophical Society in San Diego. You will enjoy lunch, learning about the Theosophical Society from San Diego’s Historic Places, and conversation with Elsa Sevilla, as well as a special drawing for historical photos.

Curator Kaytie Johnson will provide a behind the scenes look at The Path of the Mystic: Art and Theosophy at Lomaland, a San Diego History Center exhibition. This exhibit features artworks, photographs and archival documents that explore the artistic and cultural history of Point Loma’s Theosophical community in the early 20th century.

Boarded! A New Pirate Adventure

Maritime Museum of San Diego, home to one of the world’s largest collections of historic vessels from sail to steam to submarine, announces two return performances of Boarded! A Pirate Adventure!

This hilarious interactive show puts visitors right in the middle of the pirate action. Participants will be sworn in as part of the ship crew, trained how to navigate, sword fight, bail water from a sinking ship, escape from the King’s Jail, swab the deck and other pirate skills. Performances are 90 minutes. 

Please check in 15-30 minutes in advance of your boarding time. Choose from two show times, ship boarding times are 10:30am or 12:45pm (please check-in 15~30 minutes before)
Sails are not set for BOARDED.

Admission includes access to all aquarium exhibits as well as treat bags, and Halloween fun - a “kelp” maze, costume showcase, music and more.
