As part of our exhibit celebrating the San Diego Zoo's centennial year, join the San Diego History Center in exploring the science behind animal sex with one of the Zoo's reproductive physiologists. Come by to mingle, sip drinks, and nibble on light appetizers while playing games that test your own knowledge about animal sex, reproductive organs, and mating rituals at this fun, 21+ event.

Sounds Like San Diego VIII

The eighth edition of Sounds Like San Diego, will once again feature some of today's top local artists performing their takes on songs made famous by artists from San Diego from 1960 to today. Curated and hosted by music historian Bart Mendoza, the evening also includes appearances by some of the original musicians, performing their classics. Song selections will include music from Iron Butterfly, The Cascades, Switchfoot, Jack Tempchin, David Gates, JJ Cale, Ratt and more!

There will be three themes running through the fast paced show - singer-songwriters, musical pioneers and sixties soul. This year's performers include soul singer Jesse Davis, The Dinettes, Wayne Riker, Johnny "V" Vernazza, True Stories, Pony Death Ride, Nina Francis, Peter Hall, Marie Haddad, Scott Mathiasen and more!

"Paint Promenade" an Art Exhibition

The San Diego Watercolor Society presents "Paint Promenade", an art exhibition juried by award-winning artist Craig Anderson.

Opening Reception

The Opening Reception is Friday June 2 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with 95-100 original ready-to-hang paintings for sale, plus wine, food and the fellowship of other art enthusiasts. Also showing at the Reception will be the winners of the 2017 Water Conservation Poster Contest for children in grades 1-6 sponsored by the San Diego Public Utilities Department.
