Lending ourselves to the rich history of America’s Finest City, we flourish with a sophistication that can only come from the test of time. At our root is San Diego’s Old City Hall building, established in 1874. Now a restaurant & lounge, we pay homage to our history while serving the city with an entertaining dining experience that comes with authentic old world charm.
At Florent, we believe craft isn’t a word that should be used lightly. Our cocktail menu is unpretentious yet vigilant, honoring barkeeps past with modern takes on classic recipes. Espresso-infused tequila? Chocolate bitters? Cinnamon & clove-infused whiskey? We believe there are no limits on the taste of creativity, especially when it comes to cocktails.
Locally grown vegetables, rare protein, and fresh fish drive our menu.
Florent's name is derived from the historical architectural style of its home, the original Old City Hall building, and pays homage to the year the building was established, 1874. The split level venue celebrates San Diego's immense culinary and nightlife scene with a creative & whimsical collaboration by long-time entrepreneurs David Schiffman, Mark Huber and Scott Sanders, along with General Manager Jared Vallon.
This space reflects an approachable elegance with a playful interior, that lends itself to the rich history of the Old City Hall building. With unexpected touches of organic and demure glamor, Florent invites sultry, high energy San Diego nights.
Florent is open daily for lunch, dinner and late-night dining, with an eccentric brunch available on weekends.
