Since opening Whisknladle's doors in 2008, our company's mission has been to bring good food, good wine & great people together. Culinarily speaking, we take a back to the future approach to cooking by working with seasonal & farm to table products and taking the time to make most of our food from scratch; the way it used to be, they way it ought to be.
Located in beautiful La Jolla, Whisknladle's atmosphere is chic, yet welcoming, boasting an outdoor patio and skillfully crafted indoor bar. Each dish is artfully prepared by Chef Ryan Johnston and menu favorites include the Warm Brussels Sprout Salad, Fried Green Tomato Sandwich and the Shrimp "Benedict." Stop by for lunch, dinner or brunch on the weekends. We're proud to say that our efforts at Whisknladle are paying off with a great local following and some pretty cool "props" from Conde Nast, Gourmet Magazine (While it was still around), Food & Wine and a bunch of local publications.
The amazing Julia Child once said, "You don't have to cook fancy or complicated masterpieces, just good food from fresh ingredients."
