Buskers After Dark

The awe-inspiring antics of Seaport Village's street performers will run late into the night.

This untamed show will be the truest form of busking with untamed performances, Buskers After Dark. The evening event will entertain guests 18 and older with unedited amusement including fire jugglers, comedians, acrobats, beverages and a DJ spinning beats from 7:00 to 10:00 PM.

Starting Saturday, February 4, applications will become available online for the Globe's 2017 Pam Farr Summer Shakespeare Studio for high school students. The applications, which will be accepted through April 1, will be accessible at www.TheOldGlobe.org/studio-application.

The four-week program is a unique opportunity for rising 9th - 12th graders and recent graduates not only to develop foundational skills for reading, interpreting, and performing Shakespeare's plays, but also to cultivate their own artistic voice through storytelling and creating original material inspired by deep, personal connections to Shakespeare. This unique performance combines Shakespeare's words, today's popular songs, and original material generated by the Studio's company.

Join San Diego Children's Discovery Museum (SDCDM) on for a celebration of the cultures and communities of the Pacific Islands. The afternoon includes storytelling by Literature Comes to Life, Polynesian, Tahitian, and hula dancing performances by Motu Nehenehe Polynesian Dancers, as well as a live ukulele performance and traditional snacks from the Pacific Islands for visitors to sample. Visitors can also experience all of the hands-on exhibits at SDCDM for Free!
