Bollywood Garba by the Sea

On Friday, 9/29 from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm enjoy Bollywood Garba by the Sea in our center courtyard, led by Bollywood Steps!

Garba is a well-known folk dance of India and is danced only on certain festival days, including September 29th! Garba is high energy and includes dancing in a large circle to encourage comradery.

Experience live performances, dance lessons, music and even get your own free henna tattoo. This is a great opportunity to learn about a new culture or do something different for date night. 

The event is free and open to all ages. See you there!

Jay Chandrasekhar

Director/writer/comedian/actor Jay Chandrasekhar has contributed and appeared in a wide variety of critically acclaimed television programs and films throughout his career.

After graduating, Chandrasekhar and his classmates from Colgate University formed Charred Goosebeak, a sketch comedy group. Upon graduating, the members of Charred Goosebeak changed their name to Broken Lizard and performed at comedy clubs and college campuses across the nation until the mid-90s, when they set their sights on producing television and feature films.

Under his Broken Lizard banner, Chandrasekhar directed and co-wrote Fox Searchlight Picture’s comedy cult classics Super Troopers and Club Dread, and Warner Bros. Beerfest. He also directed the Broken Lizard comedy special, Broken Lizard Stands Up.

Noah Gardenswartz

Noah Gardenswartz is a comedian based out of New York who featured at the 2014 Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival as a New Face. His comedy has been featured on TBS’ “Today’s Riff,” Comcast’s “Trial By Laughter,” and Bounce TV's " Uptown Comic." He has performed for the Laughing Skull Comedy Festival, the Bay Area Black Comedy Festival, the High Plains Comedy Festival, and the New York Comedy Festival, among others. In 2012, Noah was named a semi-finalist in NBC’s “Stand Up For Diversity,” and he was also recently written about in VICE magazine. He most recently was a contestant on the NBC show “Last Comic Standing”. When Noah isn’t touring he performs several nights a week in NYC and co-hosts a monthly show called “Comedy Freaknik”. He most recently appeared on ADAM DEVINE’S HOUSE PARTY for Comedy Central.
