Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas! is a wonderful, whimsical musical based upon the classic Dr. Seuss book. Back for another incredible year, the family favorite features the songs “Santa for a Day,” “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch,” and “Welcome, Christmas (Fah Who Doraze),” the delightful carol from the popular animated version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas! Celebrate the holidays as the Old Globe Theatre is once again transformed into the snow-covered Who-ville, right down to the last can of Who-hash.

The grove of towering Norfolk Island Pines on the Founders Lawn is the scene of a dynamic light show orchestrated to lively holiday jazz music, a brilliant ethereal experience that captivates guests with a finale of snow flurries. Showcased is the Norfolk Pine originally made famous in 1904 as the world’s first electrically lit outdoor Christmas tree.

Step back in time and witness your grandparent's 70s era basement be transformed for the holidays at Xmas Bar at Good Night John Boy. Dance under the lights while sipping on a Naughty or Nice, Mistletoe’s Kiss or even a little Jingle Juice.

This holiday season, from November 27th through January 5th, Top of the Hyatt will be fully transformed for our Over the Top Holiday Lounge.

Over the Top Holiday Lounge will bring a snowy wonderland to sunny San Diego! Find a spot around the warm hearth, sip a cocktail in a homey pair of bunk beds that set the scene of a nostalgic family vacation, and take advantage of the incredible photo opportunities that showcase the epic views Top of The Hyatt is known for. Enjoy a festive cocktail menu in this cozy cabin setting and live holiday entertainment in the lounge every Tuesday and Friday night + Christmas Eve from 7 pm - 9 pm. 

The lounge opens at 3 pm daily, 21+ after 6 pm.
