Throughout February 2015, San Diego visitors can get more bang for their buck and experience the region's rich cultural offerings at half-price during San Diego Museum Month. Guests can participate by picking up a free San Diego Museum Month Pass at participating Macy's locations; with the pass, they can receive half-price admission for up to four guests per visit at 45 of San Diego's museums, cultural attractions and historical sites.

Visitors can take advantage of San Diego Museum Month at facilities located throughout the region, including:

• The USS Midway Museum, Maritime Museum of San Diego and The New Children's Museum in downtown San Diego;
• The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego and Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla;
• The Museum of Making Music, LUX Art Institute and the San Diego Botanic Garden in San Diego's North County;
• More than a dozen world-class facilities in Balboa Park, like the San Diego Automotive Museum, the San Diego Natural History Museum, Reuben H. Fleet Science Center and San Diego Museum of Art. Often referred to as the "Smithsonian of the West," Balboa Park celebrates its centennial anniversary in 2015, and many museums are featuring special exhibitions in honor of the park's 100 years.

Beginning on Feb. 1, 2015, visitors can pick up a San Diego Museum Month Pass at participating Macy's stores in San Diego County or neighboring Temecula and Imperial Valley. Passes are valid through Feb. 28, 2015. Macy's locations and store hours can be found online at www.macys.com 

San Diego Museum Month was created in 1989 by the San Diego Museum Council to promote the region's museums, historical sites and cultural offerings. The month-long promotion drew more than 30,000 visitors in 2014.
