With skateboarding gaining in popularity, great skate parks can be found all around San Diego, and with really good talent to boot. Whether you're ready to ride, or just like to watch, take a visit to the parks below where pros and bros can be found on virtually any day of the year. There are excellent municipal parks in Coronado, Ocean BeachOceanside and elsewhere throughout the county. Most San Diego skate parks are concrete, outdoor, open-air affairs. In addition to bowls, most have some kind of interesting transitions, walls and rail slide features. There are some indoor half-pipes and wood ramps around town, however most are private and you have to know the right people to access them.

Here is a list of several skate parks in San Diego County. Note that it is required that skaters wear helmets as well as knee and elbow pads. Call for hours, fees, directions and skating session information.

San Diego

  • Linda Vista Community Park

    At 34,000 square feet, this skateboard park is the largest in San Diego County. The park which debuted in January 2018 offers skaters of all levels challenging terrain and obstacles including differing steps and rails, a full 360-degree pipe and a pedestrian bridge for spectators to enjoy the action.

    With 40,000 square feet of concrete, this skate park has something for everyone, regardless of age or skill level, including a "street course" design which features a combination bowl, along with numerous handrails, ledges, blocks, a pump bump and an octagon volcano.

    The Kroc Center indoor Skate Park contains elements that challenge both the beginning and advanced boarder. For maximum safety, kneepads, elbow pads, and a helmet are required for all skaters 17 years old and under. Helmets are required for skaters 18 years old and over; elbow pads and kneepads are recommended. A waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian is required prior to admission to the facility for participants under the age of 18.

    A fun, safe area for skate enthusiasts of all ages and abilities to practice their skills located next to the Safety Center. Safety equipment is required at all times. Featuring 10,500 sq. ft. lighted facility, curved and flat ramps, two pyramids, two stairways, kidney + spine bowls, pipe grinding ledges, beginner's area, picnic tables, and restrooms nearby.

    The street course has been updated to include interchangeable features with concrete ramps and plaza elements. Mini Land has also been expanded!
