4th Annual Dia de los Muertos Guest Chef Dinner

Trey Foshee, of La Jolla's George's at the Cove and Galaxy Taco, will host a special dinner event in honor of Dia de los Muertos ("Day of the Dead") at Galaxy Taco, his modern Mexican eatery in La Jolla Shores. This year eight guest chefs will join chef de cuisine Christine Rivera to prepare an epic night of food and celebration.

2019 SAN DIEGO ROCK 'N' ROLL MARATHON SERIES

It all began in San Diego in 1998 and for over 20 years, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series has made running fun by infusing each course with live bands, cheer teams and more. In 2018, we brought our best to the Rock ‘n’ Roll San Diego Marathon & 1/2 with more music, runner support, and community engagement every step of the way. This event has always been our Epic Summer Run, and we’re already planning on ways to make 2019 even better! This year our event will feature a Full (26.2 miles) and 1/2 (13.1 miles) Marathon, a fun 5k Race and a 1/2 Marathon Relay Race.

Port of San Diego Festival of the Sea

Festival of the Sea, produced by the Maritime Museum and sponsored by the Port of San Diego, is one of the keynote events that will take place during 2019 commemorating the 250th Anniversary of the beginning of modern-day San Diego. The Port of San Diego Festival of the Sea will be held Memorial Day weekend and has something for everyone to enjoy. Taking place aboard several of the historic vessels of the Maritime Museum and on the adjacent scenic North Embarcadero region of downtown San Diego, Maritime Museum of San Diego will be open to the public Saturday, Sunday and Monday May 25 to 27 with special general admission hours from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  General admission tickets for the three-day event include entrance to all vessels, exhibits, live music, education zone and artist exhibition with market.
