Embrace Mexican culture during Sherman Heights' Dia de los Muertos with a traditional celebration, official altar blessing, live performances, food and more.

Day of the Dead Festival North Park

Bringing together an array of Mexican-themed artisanal crafter purveyors from throughout the US, popular food trucks with a regional foodie-following, and a select choice of beer, mezcal, and tequila vendors in our spirit cantina, the Day of the Dead Festival North Park welcomes people from all around the Southwestern United States.

City Heights Dia de los Muertos

Celebrate the lives of friends and relatives who have passed away at the City Heights Dia de Los Muertos. People of all cultures will come together for community altars, face painting, mask making, and prizes for the best catrina and catrin contest, plus dancing, singing and music.

Encinitas Dia de los Muertos Celebration

When: October 26, 2019
Celebrate life with live performances, art-making workshops, a student art exhibit, artist demos, food trucks and more at the Encinitas Dia de los Muertos.

Dia de los Muertos at Rancho Guajome Adobe

When: October 26, 2019
The historic Rancho Guajome Adobe will have offerings to remember the dead and honor ancestors, which may consist of foods, photographs, flowers, candles, toys and other symbolic offerings, created by community members. The event will include performances by Ballet Folklorico, live traditional music, children's activities, and food and craft vendors.

Dia de los Muertos, Oceanside

When: October 27, 2019
Dia de los Muertos, or "Day of the Dead," is an all-day community event with diverse cultural traditions, remembering and honoring deceased loved ones.

24th Annual Día de los Muertos Festival

When: November 1-4, 2019
Each year, guests are invited to create altars to remember and honor their loved ones in a special area outside of the California Center for the Arts, Escondido museum; the event also features live music, traditional Mexican fare, a parade, and more.

Day of the Dead at Bazaar del Mundo

When: November 1-3, 2019
Old Town icons Bazaar del Mundo and Casa Guadalajara team up to celebrate Día de los Muertos with face painting, a life-size Catrina, artisans displaying their Día de los Muertos-themed work and collectables, authentic Muertos Mole Dinner, plus altars and free family friendly activities – including sugar skull decorating, mask making, coloring and more.

Dia de Los Muertos at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park

When: November 1-3, 2019
The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is celebrating Dia de los Muertos with several shows hosted in Spanish, plus roving mariachis, Ballet Folklorico dancers and stilt walkers, and specialty foods and beverages.

Old Town San Diego's Día de los Muertos is a celebration of the history, culture, and heritage of the region that honors one of its most important holidays.
