East Village Assocation is San Diego’s largest downtown business district and neighborhood. Encompassing 130 blocks, between Seventh Avenue to 17th Street, there is so much for guests to explore and enjoy. Over 700 businesses call East Village home and are made up of unique culinary experiences, hip gathering spots and watering holes, hotels, galleries, one-of-a-kind retail and PETCO Park - the home of the San Diego Padres.
East Village also is a hub of several premier educational institutions including New School of Architecture and Design, Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, San Diego City College, and the newly built UCSD Extension Center on Market Street. To support these facilities and San Diegans, the City of San Diego built the new San Diego Library in 2013 with state-of-the-art spaces and resources for all to access.
The East Village community currently has over 20,000 (and growing) residents, with most living in mid-rise or luxury condominiums and lofts. Continuing urban development and the steady growth of new businesses continues to draw locals from neighboring Downtown areas, and elsewhere in San Diego County, to its diverse and vibrant community with a unique mix of arts, culture, education, and entertainment.
This is the place that you won't want miss! Come visit, play and stay in East Village!
