The San Diego Professional Tour Guide Association is composed of nearly 100 local tour guides, some of whom have over 25 years of travel industry experience and many who are multilingual. The San Diego Tour Guide Association sets the standard for certified tour guides and field staff, who are experts in the San Diego region. Our talented and entertaining guides are experienced in every area of tour guide work, including step-on tours of the San Diego area, meetings and incentive programs, team building, airport meet and greets, dine-a-rounds and any other reason you would choose to bring groups or clients to our beautiful city. What Makes Us So Special
Our mission is to enhance the visitor's experience in the San Diego region by ensuring a high standard of professionalism, which we accomplish by providing certified tour guides and field staff who are experts in the San Diego region. Our guides go through a rigorous certification process ensuring that they accurately know not only the history of San Diego, but that they present the information in a pleasant and engaging manner. It is of the utmost importance that we are on top of our game, so we continually educate our guides via fams (familiarization trips to attractions) and require refresher training so that we are all current on the latest happenings in the San Diego area.
