Cage-diving with Great White Sharks
Travel with us to Guadalupe Island in Baja, California, the best place to cage-dive with and experience great white sharks.
Your Guadalupe Island shark expedition is unique as Horizon Charters is the only Guadalupe Island shark cage-diving company departing from the U.S. No tedious bus ride to Ensenada. On the 5-day trip, board Horizon in San Diego and at trip’s end step off the boat in San Diego.
Drawing from a database of over 100 catalogued Guadalupe Island great white sharks, you will come home after your vacation not only with memories that will last a lifetime, but with names of sharks attached to those memories. Yes, believe or not, most of Guadalupe Island’s resident great white sharks have names!
Smaller Groups Give You More Cage Time
We cater to a very small audience per expedition with a maximum of 12 passengers on each voyage. Smaller groups equal more space to spread out, better service and more cage time.
Sharks are the focus of your journey, but we work hard to ensure that you enjoy every facet of your shark-diving vacation from sumptuous home-cooked meals to having the staff aboard Horizon help you into your wetsuit. We are there for you every step of the way.
Safe and Sane
Keeping you safe in our cages is our number one priority! We pioneered "Safe and Sane Shark Diving" seasons ago, and practice what we preach. Keeping you safe keeps the great white sharks safe as well. As you will see during your great white-shark diving expedition, Guadalupe Island's resident sharks are not the mindless man-eaters that they've been made out to be for so many years.
Help dispel the myth and enjoy a luxury live-aboard, great white shark-diving expedition to Guadalupe Island today!
Our crew includes two U.S. Coast Guard-guard certified captains, two deck crew, 1 chef, and 1-2 divemasters on dive voyages. Captains and all crew are drug-tested and the crew is CPR-certified.
Since our inception we have worked hard to maintain a high level of environmental awareness and each year we take a close look at how our company policies are managed, and make any upgrades or adjustments that are needed.
