Lake Jennings offers a great escape for novice or avid fishermen, and is open for shore fishing daily, from the shoreline below the campground. Boat rentals, private boat launching, and fishing from our floating fishing dock is available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The on-site Bait and Tackle Shop offers a wide selection of bait, tackle, and snacks, and is open Friday-Sunday. Nearly 30,000 lbs. of fish is stocked each year (rainbow trout and channel catfish). The trout fishing season begins in November and lasts through early April, while the catfish season coincides with the "Night Fishing" program which is offered every weekend from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Lake Jennings hosts a variety of fishing events throughout the year such as trout and catfish season openers, Kid's Day, and Spring Carnival. Individuals intending to fish must possess a California State Fishing License and purchase a Lake Fishing Permit.

The Campground at Lake Jennings Park is open year-round with a variety of campsites available, including full or partial hookups and primitive tent sites. Our Super Site is also available with panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountain area. Each site has its own fire ring and picnic table. Amenities include free wi-fi, clean hot showers open 24 hours, kids activities and playground structure, and horseshoe pits. Firewood, ice, and propane are conveniently available for purchase at the Campground entrance station.
