The Del Mar Fairgrounds is a world-class, multi-use facility hosting nearly 350 events each year. These events include everything from large-scale consumer shows, trade shows and conventions to more intimate private celebrations like weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs and fundraising events and galas. Year-round operations also include our satellite wagering facility Surfside Race Place, Del Mar Golf Center driving range and Pelly's Mini Golf, and our Horsepark equestrian boarding and event center.
The San Diego County Fair welcomes 1.4 million visitors through the Fairgrounds each summer, making it San Diego's largest annual event and the sixth largest fair in the United States. The Del Mar Thoroughbred Club operates the annual live horse racing meet at the Del Mar Fairgrounds and is considered the premier horse-racing event on the west coast. Additional signature annual events include the Del Mar National Horse Show in April/May, KAABOO Del Mar in September, and The Scream Zone haunted house in October.
