Il Fornaio Coronado is located at the Ferry Landing Marketplace at the water's edge, with a fabulous view of the downtown San Diego skyline from the interior dining rooms and exterior patios.

Our experienced staff will work closely with you to create a memorable event for you and your guests. Our Event Coordinator will assist you with any additional services needed, from presentation materials (audio/visual equipment) to flowers arranged specifically for your special occasion through a local florist.
There is never any room rental fee. Both indoor and outdoor spaces are available to accommodate your group size. In addition to the dining areas listed here, the entire restaurant is available for buyout for large special events.
Dining Areas
Azzura
High ceilings with breathtaking views of Coronado Bay create the atmosphere of this elegant private dining room with seating for up to 30 people.
Il Moro/Prada/Il Cortile
Il Moro is a twin to the Azzura Dining Room in size but has a more panoramic view of the bay. Three large eight-foot-high windows line the walls of this captivating dining room. Seating accommodates 38 people. Adjacent to the Il Moro Dining Room is our intimate private room, Prada. The two rooms can be combined to accommodate up to 50 people. The Il Cortile dining area is framed by large french doors, reminiscent of an Italian garden. On its own, Il Cortile accommodates up to 10 people; combined with the Il Moro and Prada rooms, it can accommodate receptions for 60 people.
La Baia
The Front Patio can accommodate up to 50 guests and gives unobstructed panoramic views of the San Diego bay and downtown skyline. The La Baia patio features a retractable awning and is surrounded by the warmth of our outdoor fireplace and heat lamps.
La Piazza
This outdoor patio surrounds the restaurant bar and has a relaxed atmosphere accompanied by warm ocean breezes. Accommodates large groups for cocktail receptions up to 120 guests.
