Known as the birthplace of California, San Diego has a host of historical locations to discover including Old Town San Diego, Cabrillo National Monument and Mission del Alcala, the first of the California missions. Balboa Park, the largest urban cultural park in America, offers 15 major museums plus performing arts, beautiful garden and the San Diego Zoo.  Other San Diego attractions include SeaWorld San Diego, USS Midway, LEGOLAND California and the San Diego Safari Park.

Off the beaten path, you’ll find local neighborhoods to explore, each with their own vibe and culture. And if you’re more adventurous, just east is the Anza Borrego Desert State Park, featuring five hundred miles of wilderness. Located on the border of Baja California, Mexico, San Diego is also a great home base for a two nation vacation.
