California Wildfires

There are several wildfires still burning throughout California. Currently there are no active fires that are affecting travel to San Diego County and conditions remain safe for visitors. San Diego's main highways are open including I-5, I-805, I-15 and I-8 and air quality is normal throughout most of the region. The San Diego Tourism Authority is closely monitoring public resources to keep visitors to the destination safe, secure, and prepared. As we learn more about conditions that may affect visitors to San Diego County, we will post updates at SanDiego.org/fire

U.S.-Mexico Border

The U.S.-Mexico border crossings are experiencing temporary closures and delays between San Diego and Tijuana. Facility operations being closely monitored by officials. Visitors wishing to travel between San Diego and Tijuana may experience facility closures or longer than usual wait times. Visitors planning to cross the border should plan extra time for their travels. For the most up-to-date information on border wait times and current facility closures, visitors can check with Customs and Border Protection or call (619) 690-8999.
