Public Relations

The Communications Department provides assistance to working press filing stories about the San Diego region as a leisure travel and meeting and convention destination. The department offers a variety of materials and services for print and electronic travel media.

Press materials, including story ideas, a San Diego Press Kit and current news releases, are distributed regularly to over 1,000 media outlets nationwide and are available upon request. The department also maintains a library with hundreds of high-res digital images and a selection of b-roll video footage of the destination. Additionally, the department offers a Media Hosting Program for travel media on assignment visiting the San Diego region to do research for a story.
