Reid Burkett
Reid is an experienced hospitality executive and commercial strategist with more than two decades of driving revenue optimization, market share growth, and data-driven performance across diverse hotel portfolios. He serves as Vice President of Revenue Strategy for Pebblebrook Hotel Trust, a publicly traded real estate investment trust specializing in upper-upscale hotels and resorts. In this role, he oversees revenue strategy for a premier collection of urban and resort properties across key California markets.
Reid’s career includes leadership roles with prominent hotel brands and management companies. Prior to joining Pebblebrook, he held key roles with Pivot Hotels & Resorts and Evolution Hospitality, leading multi-asset revenue strategies and improving top-line results. He also served as Regional Director of Revenue Management for Loews Hotels & Co, guiding high-profile assets in highly competitive market environments. Earlier in his career, he held director-level revenue leadership roles with Kimpton Hotels and Hilton Hotels & Resorts, building deep expertise in pricing, forecasting, distribution, and overall commercial strategy across lifestyle and traditional hotel segments. He began his career on the operations side at Coast Hotels, gaining hands-on experience in hotel management and guest service— an operational foundation that continues to inform his balanced leadership approach.
Beyond his executive responsibilities, Reid contributes to several industry advisory groups. He serves on the Marriott U.S. & Canada Owner Advisory Board, offering ownership perspectives on brand standards, operating efficiencies, and evolving market dynamics. He is also a member of the Lighthouse (formerly OTA Insight) Customer Advisory Board, partnering with technology leaders to help shape the future of predictive analytics and business intelligence tools.
In San Diego, Reid is an active leader within Discover Mission Bay, collaborating with hotel owners, general managers, sales and marketing leaders, and local businesses to strengthen the destination’s positioning. His work focuses on developing a unified “destination within a destination” brand to expand regional and fly-in awareness and grow Mission Bay’s share of leisure tourism.
Outside of work, Reid is an avid trail runner and completed two 100-mile ultramarathons in 2025. He lives in the San Diego area with his wife, March, and their two children, Blue (UC Berkeley) and Jaxon (San Diego High School).
