James is an award-winning writer, editor and digital content creator with more than 5,000 bylines, including reviews, profiles, breaking news and front-page stories. His writing has been featured in two college textbooks and recognized with more than 30 honors, including a national Society for Features Journalism prize. He has been a frequent guest speaker, media commentator and panel moderator, and is a former juror for the Pulitzer Prize in Drama. His first play, "B-17," also has received several public readings around San Diego. In addition to serving as Content Manager for the San Diego Tourism Authority, James is a member and former chairman of the City of Encinitas Commission for the Arts.
