Ensenada

This region is renowned for its wide variety of vineyards that make up the wine route, as well as its high-quality cuisine. The valley produces around 2 million cases of wine per year and is considered one of the main centers of the Baja Med culinary style. The Harvest Festival, known as Las Fiesta de la Vendimia, is celebrated in July and August and includes tastings, concerts, pairing dinners, and the traditional grape stomping. The festival provides an opportunity to visit wineries, sample cheeses and olive oil, and immerse yourself in the culture of wine.

Hussong's Cantina
Founded in 1892, Hussong's is the oldest and most renowned cantina in Baja California. Bartender Don Carlos Orozco is credited with creating the margarita there in 1941 when he concocted a mixture of tequila, damiana liqueur, and lime juice for Margarita Henkel, the daughter of the German ambassador to Mexico at the time. In addition to traditional drinks, Hussong's also offers Mexican food.

La Guerrerense is an iconic restaurant in Ensenada. Born as a street seafood cart in 1960, it is famous for its tostadas, especially the Singapore, which is made with crab, scallops and shrimp. Its reputation grew internationally after receiving visits from renowned chefs such as Anthony Bourdain. Today, it has a nearby restaurant, but the original stall remains an attraction in itself.

The Boardwalk is a coastal promenade that runs along Todos Santos Bay, offering views of the harbor, the Pacific Ocean and the moored boats. It has a relaxed atmosphere and a constant sea breeze.
La Bufadora
La Bufadora
Seventeen miles south of Ensenada is La Bufadora, a natural geological phenomenon formed by a chimney-like opening in a cliff that is connected to sea caves. When waves crash against the cliff, water forcefully rises and erupts in the form of spray up to 98 feet high. It is the second-highest marine geyser in the world after Nakalele Point in Hawaii. There are numerous stalls in the surrounding area offering snacks and souvenirs.

This hill has a viewpoint offering panoramic views of the city, boardwalk, port and sea. The area has gently sloping trails and several photo spots, including the colorful Ensenada sign. Visitors can explore the area on foot, with pets, or by car, and it is a popular place to enjoy the scenery.

Ensenada Carnival: It is held between late February and early March. It includes free concerts and various artistic activities. The city's first carnival was held in 1981.
Ensenada Beer Fest: This festival features craft beer, live music and a variety of cuisines.
The Fiesta de los Viñedos en Flor (Vineyards in Bloom Festival): This festival is held in a rural setting and aims to benefit vulnerable groups in the region. Wineries, chefs and artists donate their products and services as part of the community effort. The event celebrates spring and the flowering of the vineyards, highlighting the connection between nature, community and wine culture.
