Samahan Filipino American Performing Arts & Education Center

Samahan Filipino American Performing Arts & Education Center is comprised of four performing groups: Philippine Dance Ensemble, Kulintang Music and Dance Ensemble, Philippine Rondalla String Orchestra, and Polynesian Dance Troupe. In addition to its busy performance schedule, Samahan offers educational and outreach programs such as free workshops and neighborhood arts programs. Its theater performances include a Gala performance, a Christmas program and a program of original dances based on folk tales and legends of the Southern Philippine Islands.

This expansive garden features meandering pathways through a lush, but drought-tolerant plant palette that hails from Mediterranean regions around the world, as well as stunning native plants, The Water Conservation Garden in El Cajon inspires visitors to create a sustainable landscape of their dreams. And does it with charm and whimsy. The garden  was voted by Sunset Magazine as one of the Top 10 Gardens in the West. It’s touted for its Ms. Smarty Plants children's environmental education programs and assemblies, weekend gardening workshops, and exciting gardening festivals and plant sales.

Sycuan Casino

Sycuan Casino began as a humble bingo palace in 1983. A recent 500,000-square-foot expansion includes an expanded gaming floor and available player positions to include a total of 2,300 slot machines and 52 table games. There is also a pool and garden area with a lazy river and swim-up bar, a full-service spa with treatment rooms and sauna, and a state-of-the-art fitness facility.
