Mele is practically San Diego surf royalty. Granddaughter of Larry Gordon (of legendary San Diego surf company Gordon & Smith Surfboards), she has been riding the San Diego waves since she was 13—and began turning heads at competitions shortly after. Her surfing has taken her around the world, including tournaments in Fiji, Australia and Bali, but she always loves coming back home to the feel-good vibes of San Diego. While she’s an expert on a longboard in the water, she’s also quite the artist when she’s on dry land.
