Autumn in San Diego means warm days, cool nights, Halloween fun and, of course, pumpkin patches! Browse the list below to find the perfect pumpkin patch near you.

Bates Nut Farm

Bates Nut Farm

More than 50 years of fall traditions and memories have been created at the Bates Nut Farm Pumpkin Patch. Family and friends enjoy the tractor hayrides and straw maze. There is a petting corral and Snows Pony Rides as well!

Grab a wheelbarrow and pick from a variety of pumpkins: Big Macs, Ghost, Cinderella, Jack O’ Lantern, minis, squash, gourds and other fall décor. In addition, weekends at Bates include live entertainment, BBQ, kettle corn, food trucks, rock climb, bounce, slide and other family friendly events. Dogs on a leash are welcome at the farm.

Mountain Valley Ranch Pumpkin Patch

Mountain Valley Ranch Pumpkin Patch

Up near the small mountain town of Ramona is the Mountain Valley Ranch Pumpkin Patch. Take some time to find the perfect carving or cooking pumpkin, get lost in the gigantic corn maze, launch an ear of corn out of a cannon, pet a few farm animals and add a few pictures of the kids on antique farm equipment to the scrapbook.

Oma’s Pumpkin Patch

Oma's Pumpkin Patch

Over in Lakeside, Oma's Pumpkin Patch is offering fun for the whole family. The child admission includes a Jack Patch pumpkin, petting corral, kid-powered games, sand pile with toy trucks & tractors, and a large play area with the climbable Cottonseed Mountain. Tickets must be purchased in advance online.

Cost: Weekdays Ages 2-13 - $14.50 per child. Ages 14 and Up - $8.50. Saturdays Ages 2-13 - $16.50 per child. Ages 14 and Up - $10.50.

Pumpkin Station

Pumpkin Station

Visit a Pumpkin Station location (including the two actual farms) throughout San Diego County. At the Pumpkin Stations, kids can search for the perfect pumpkin while enjoying the kiddie rides, slides, inflatable play centers and petting zoo. At the two farms in Rancho Bernardo and Bonita, little pumpkin carvers will find a living pumpkin patch, corn maze, farm animals and a tractor-pulled hay-wagon ride.

PB Pumpkin Patch

Serving up local farm fresh fun since 1992, PB Pumpkin Patch has a large selection of pumpkins ranging from small to large, plus Indian corn, gourds, corn stalks, and a free pumpkin carving and painting area with stencils, paint kits, stickers and candles. All while enjoying free hot apple cider and shaved ice for kids!

Join the Pacific Southwest Railway Museum Association in their Annual Pumpkin Express Halloween Celebration. Ride their decorated vintage railcars through the San Diego county mountains as fall descends upon Campo, CA. Walk through their themed Display Building complete with two haunted trains, a pumpkin patch, and our creepy cast of ghosts and ghouls.

Halloween at the Drive-In

Westfield UTC continues their partnership with the San Diego International Film Festival to put on a Halloween-inspired drive-in movie experience at the center. On Friday night (Oct. 30), moviegoers can enjoy a screening of Beetlejuice and on Saturday (Halloween), the drive-in will be showcasing a screening of Hocus Pocus. Costumes are welcome. VIP tickets are $50 per car and general admission tickets are $30 per car and the proceeds will benefit the San Diego Film Foundation Focus on Impact Educational Program. Spooky family fun is coming to Fairmont Grand Del Mar this October. Enjoy Halloween movies under the stars, spooky s’mores around your own private fire pit and specialty treats as you watch the moon shine over the canyons. Come Halloween night, the resort will transform offering young ghouls and boys a trail of ghostly surprises. Kids are encouraged to dress in costume and explore the resort where they will find surprises and characters like witches and mad scientists who will be handing out a selection of goodies and candy. Adults can indulge on specialty fall cocktails as well as delectable dining options across the resort. Halloween at The Grand is available for hotel guests only and requires an overnight stay.
