Description

Discover the power of shape and repetition in this creative printmaking workshop inspired by patterns found throughout The New Children's Museum. Girl Scouts will design their own geometric or organic stamps, experiment with pattern-making, and collaborate with friends to create bold, colorful prints on paper or fabric.

Activities include:

  • Exploring geometric vs. organic shapes in museum artworks
  • Learning what makes a pattern through repetition
  • Designing and testing stamps using foam and wood bases
  • Teaming up to combine designs into shared patterns
  • Printing on fabric or paper to create a take-home scarf or gift wrap
