The Anchor of San Diego

Liberty Station is one of San Diego’s premier destinations for shopping, dining, arts and entertainment. Formerly one of the Navy’s first footholds in Southern California, the property operated as the Naval Training Center (NTC) from 1923 to 1997.

Today, the historic space has been transformed into a 361- acre, vibrant community that is home to locally-owned boutiques, award-winning restaurants, art galleries and studios, fitness and wellness centers, hotels, theaters, 9-hole, par 3 golf course and 18-hole mini golf courses, 48 acres of grassy parkland and more.

Much of the original architecture remains from its time as the NTC, thoughtfully preserved to honor its Naval roots.

With its rich history, coastal charm, and diverse offerings, Liberty Station is the anchor of San Diego.
