A burgeoning hub for arts, culture, and events.

Whatever you are looking for, Liberty Station has it. Whether it’s brushing up on the local art scene, catching the latest dance performance or a must-see movie, even grabbing dinner and drinks with friends. One thing is clear, Liberty Station is where San Diego lives. It’s always changing, evolving and inviting guests to explore all the things that make it unique. This is the place where artists can showcase their craft in art, performance, design, fashion, culinary deliciousness, and more. It is a hub for growth, innovation, and inspiration promoting connection, creativity and community.

Arts District Liberty Station has rich history coupled with spectacular surroundings that will make your event memorable. Located at the north end of San Diego Bay, this served as the site of the Naval Training Center San Diego from 1923 to 1993. We have indoor and outdoor venues for seminars, conferences, festivals, car shows, receptions, weddings, memorials, performances, rehearsals, change-of-command ceremonies and retirements.

VESPER Venue (Building 177)
Originally home to the Naval Training Center’s library, Vesper Venue has been redesigned with special events in mind. The venue’s wood floors, white walls, vaulted ceilings, and exposed beams create a bright and airy interior. With over 7,000 square feet of versatile space, Vesper Venue provides a striking yet minimal canvas that invites your creativity to run wild.

The space is open and accessible, encouraging guests to flow naturally from our scenic outdoor patio through an entry foyer into the main hall. Vesper Venue comfortably hosts up to 400 guests for a seated reception and 750 guests for a cocktail-style gathering, making it an ideal setting for wedding receptions, trade shows, and conferences.

Ingram Plaza
A 100, 000 square feet and the North Promenade is 70, 000 square feet. Both these private parks allow events with bars and are free of many of the constraints of public parks.

Luce Court and Legacy Plaza
These two venues are a combined 20, 000 sq. ft. of paved paradise, designed with festivals, receptions and special events in mind. Luce Court is highlighted with a stunning fountain, up-lit palm trees, and colorful gardens. Additionally, Fieldstone Legacy Plaza displays commemorative bricks honoring friends and loved ones with extensive, versatile space for over 1, 500 guests. With Building 177 close-by, this venue creates a great value for any indoor, outdoor event needs.

North Promenade
This scenic 75, 000 sq. ft. verdant greenbelt is surrounded by the historic Naval Training Center’s Spanish Revival Style Architecture, rustic pathways, and iconic archways. North Promenade is the center of Arts District Liberty Station and features an 88 ft. Norfolk Pine tree at the forefront. An amazing blank canvas to build your events vision for over 2, 000 guests.

Sybil Stockdale Rose Garden
This intimate courtyard displays a central fountain, features intertwining pathways, and lies between two lawns. It was donated as a gift to honor Navy wives, and each vibrant rosebush located here has been thoughtfully selected and dedicated to loved ones. Set below our Point Loma Nazarene University Friendship Terrace and just outside our Dick Laub NTC Command Center, the Rose Garden is named after Sybil Stockdale, the wife of Vice Admiral James Stockdale. A simply beautiful setting year-round for receptions, mixers, intimate ceremonies, and celebrations for up to 150 guests.
