Our event medical teams are led by a licensed California physician and operate under active medical direction to ensure clinical oversight and quality care. We adhere strictly to all California labor laws, hiring only locally licensed personnel who are properly classified, insured, and compensated. Our team of over 80 EMTs, paramedics, and nurses are W-2 employees—not independent contractors—ensuring full compliance with city, county, and state workforce regulations.
Coastal Medix maintains comprehensive general liability, professional liability, and workers’ compensation insurance that exceeds event and venue requirements across California. Every activation includes complete documentation of coverage and a fully equipped first aid station stocked with AEDs, trauma kits, OTC medications, and event-specific supplies.
We work in close coordination with AMR and other regional ambulance providers, maintaining reciprocal relationships that allow us to contract each other as needed for standby units, patient transport, or mutual event support. Our collaborative partnerships help ensure seamless care continuity and streamlined EMS integration at any size event.
