The Fleet Science Center offers an ideal atmosphere for your next meeting or special event. Featuring seven unique hands-on galleries, the Fleet has more than 100 science exhibits and four spacious meeting rooms (for lectures, board meetings, presentations or luncheons) as well as the 274-seat Eugene Heikoff and Marilyn Jacobs Heikoff IMAX Dome Theater. Our new digital dome projection system will take your event to the next level.
Our two-story science center can be uniquely customized to suit your needs, whether you want the entire venue to yourself or you prefer to focus your event in one gallery. We host elaborate sit-down dinners, cocktail receptions, corporate events, weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, awards galas, birthday celebrations and anniversaries, concerts, dances, receptions and more! The Heikoff Giant Dome Theater, the world's first IMAX Dome Theater, provides a compelling space for private screenings, presentations and performances. The Fleet also offers meeting space for lectures, board meetings, small group presentations and luncheons. Located in San Diego's historic Balboa Park (close to downtown and the Convention Center), The Fleet has a spectacular view of the park's iconic Bea Evenson Fountain, the perfect backdrop for your special event.

Special events using the entire facility may only be scheduled after public hours unless arrangements are made through the Special Events Department. A premium may apply to events that require the closing of part or all of the public spaces early. Special events held on holidays and peak attendance times may be subject to additional fees.
