A hidden gem, the GlassDoor Restaurant is located on the fourth floor of the Porto Vista Hotel. We are a Mexican cuisine restaurant with weekday breakfast and happy hour. Our dinner service opens at 4pm everyday, and we offer brunch on the weekends. Enjoy your meal with panoramic views of the San Diego downtown skyline and the San Diego harbor.
Here at the GlassDoor, we strive to create memorable experiences that deliver a lasting impression. Our restaurant dons floor to cieling windows across the span of the dining room with incorporated sliding doors. The sliding window-doors open up to an expansive 40-seat balcony, creating an astonishing open-air space surrounded by city lights and harbor views. Our dining room is adorned with over a dozen iconic, handmade, multicolored, stained glass lanterns. These lanterns have become part of the GlassDoor's identity, and have provided impeccible moody lighting to our diners through the years. Our cocktail bar hosts 12 seats across a sapphire and aquamarine swirled apoxy-resin bartop. However, the newest, and most exciting, addition to our restaurant is our Terrazas Patio. Located on the southern most side of the restaurant, our patio door leads out to an 800 square-foot space, furnished with lounge-style patio furniture and firepit tables. The patio holds the best seat in the house for unobstructed views of the harbor and the San Diego County Center Building. Our location is located only a block from the famous Little Italy Piazza, and walking distance to dozens of attractions, including San Diego's Waterfront Park, The Star of India, the USS Midway Museum, and many more. We like to think that GlassDoor is one of San Diego's best kept secrets, so don't let yourself be left out of the fun!
