San Diego Tourism Authority Names New National Sales Director
The San Diego Tourism Authority recently rehired Lynn Whitehead as a national sales director in its Citywide Sales Division. Whitehead is based in the Authority's Washington D.C. office and is responsible for citywide association accounts in the Washington D.C. market for San Diego.
A 23-year veteran of the hospitality industry, Whitehead worked for 17 years as a national sales director for San Diego's Citywide Sales team through July 2012. Her most recent position was director of national accounts at the Greater Phoenix Convention & Visitors Bureau before returning back to San Diego.
"I'm very excited to have Lynn rejoin our Citywide Sales Team," stated Joe Terzi, President & CEO of the San Diego Tourism Authority. "Lynn brings with her an extensive knowledge of our destination, and her hard work and enthusiasm will continue to position San Diego and the San Diego Convention Center as one of the most attractive meeting and convention destinations in the country," Terzi added.
Whitehead is a current member of the Professional Convention Management Association and the American Society of Association Executives.
