The Ely Callaway Performance Center in Carlsbad offers golfers and tour professionals the opportunity to customize their Callaway golf clubs with a fitting specialist using state-of-the-art high-speed cameras and Trackman ball flight data at their testing facility. Launch conditions, including ball speed, launch angle and spin rates, along with the ability to try a variety of clubs to optimize distance and accuracy are used to evaluate a player’s swing. Participants receive a depiction of their ball flight and leave with custom specifications to enable the purchase of Callaway clubs at golf retail shops or online.
TaylorMade Aviara Performance Center

Kip Puterbaugh's Aviara Golf Academy in Carlsbad hosts an advanced swing analysis and club fitting technology system at its TaylorMade Aviara Performance Center. Using 3D-motion capture cameras, the same technology for creating animated characters in movies, the center tracks the motion of a golfer’s body and club, then custom designs clubs to improve their performance. Guests who visit the lab get a three-hour session that includes an analysis along with confirming the customized clubs on an outdoor grass range. The Performance Center provides a personalized 14-club custom fitting for the driver, fairway woods, iron, rescue irons, and putter. It also carries the TaylorMade brand.
