Once known as the lemon capital of the world, Chula Vista is the second-largest city in San Diego County, and Third Avenue is the heart of Downtown Chula Vista. Encompassing over 30 blocks, Downtown is a culturally rich neighborhood with many community-driven residents and events. Strolling along the historic business corridor of Third Avenue, you’ll find a mix of longstanding businesses, along with new places owned and operated by locals. Sesame Place San Diego

Sesame Place San Diego is the only theme park on the West Coast based entirely on the award-winning show “Sesame Street.” This 17-acre theme park features seven Sesame Street-themed dry rides, an interactive musical play area, and 11 reimagined water attractions including a 500,000-gallon wave pool – one of the largest in Southern California. Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center

Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center

This complex opened in 1995 as the Chula Vista Olympic Training Center, the first of its kind to be master-planned from the ground up. In 2017, the United States Olympic Committee transferred the ownership of the facility to the City of Chula Vista, and the complex is now a designated Olympic and Paralympic Training Site. The 155-acre complex has sport venues and support facilities for more than a dozen summer Olympic and Paralympic sports, and cross-training abilities for various winter sports. It is open to the public for guided tours, interactive experiences, private events and host functions throughout the year which are open to the public. The Elite Team Shop, located inside of the Visitor Center, has a wide selection of unique gear and souvenirs from Team USA and the various sports represented in Chula Vista just south of San Diego.
