San Diego Scores Big in OpenTable Restaurant Honors

Five San Diego eateries named among Top 100 in the nation for 2025
Nov 25, 2025

The accolades keep on rolling in for San Diego's stellar dining scene: Five San Diego-area restaurants have just been named to OpenTable's national Top 100 list for 2025.

The recognition comes on top of San Diego's continued prominence in the globally renowned Michelin honors: Five restaurants here now boast coveted Michelin stars, with Addison by William Bradley receiving the top three-star rating.

There are 18 California restaurants on the OpenTable list, meaning nearly a third of the state's honorees are in the San Diego region.

Two of the five San Diego restaurants recognized by OpenTable for 2025 also have Michelin stars: Jeune et Jolie and Lilo. Two others, Callie and Cesarina, have both earned Michelin's Bib Gourmand designation.

The OpenTable Top 100 is compiled from diners' reviews and comments on the popular restaurant reservation site. Here is the full list of San Diego's OpenTable honorees.

Callie

Chef Travis Swikard's East Village restaurant takes its name from the Greek term kallos, referring to a thing of beauty. Callie blends "the spirit of the Mediterranean with the farmers, fishermen, and ingredients of Southern California." Guests can order a la carte or indulge in an ever-changing five-course, family-style Mediterranean feast that includes everything from dips to dessert.

Cowboy Star

Contemporary American cuisine meets Western flair at this San Diego steakhouse, tucked into Downtown’s East Village. Cowboy Star’s menu focuses on American heirloom recipes that use the finest local products and produce, cuts from the nation’s leading Certified Humane Angus herd, and sustainably sourced seafood.

Jeune et Jolie

A modern French restaurant, this Carlsbad favorite (whose name translates from the French as "young and beautiful") has made a big splash under the guidance of owner John Resnick and Executive Chef Eric Bost. Jeune et Jolie "reimagines French cuisine through the vibrant lens of our Southern California landscape."

Lilo

The newest member of Carlsbad's spectacularly successful Bost/Resnick restaurant family received a Michelin star just two months after opening. The 22-seat Lilo "harnesses the untamed spirit of the California coast and the world's shorelines through a curated, seafood-focused multi-course tasting menu."

Cesarina

This Point Loma establishment is an intimate but convivial neighborhood trattoria. Cesarina's "meticulous attention to detail and fresh ingredients" as well as its "warm and inviting atmosphere" help make the restaurant "a celebration of the power of food and family."
