Once known as the lemon capital of the world, Chula Vista is the second largest city in San Diego County and Third Avenue is at the heart of Downtown Chula Vista. Encompassing over 30 blocks, Downtown Chula Vista is a culturally rich neighborhood with many community-driven residents.
Strolling along the historic business corridor of Third Avenue, you'll find a mix of long-standing businesses since the 1960s along with new businesses owned and operated by locals born and raised in the community.
The Downtown Chula Vista Association , historically Third Avenue Village Association (TAVA), is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. The Downtown Chula Vista Association advocates on behalf of its members' best interests in the areas of public safety, beautification, promotion, and economic development, while preserving the unique cultural resources and community that exist in the heart of Chula Vista.
Serving as the longest running Business Improvement District in Chula Vista, The Association is currently pivoting their focus in preparation for the coming years of growth, while continuing to celebrate the rich history of this tight-knit community.
