For over two decades, the National Comedy Theatre has been entertaining audiences of all sizes and types across the nation with our unique brand of interactive, improv comedy. The National Comedy Theatre San Diego presents an improv comedy show featuring professional comedians who create a series of scenes – all based on audience suggestions.
The show is fast moving, hysterically funny, and appropriate for all audiences. Shows are performed Thursday through Sunday evenings at our theatre, conveniently situated between Little Italy and Old Town.
Since opening in 1999, the National Comedy Theatre has performed over 7000 times, making it the longest running show in the history of San Diego.
In addition, we have taught improv classes to thousands of people of all levels and backgrounds for over 25 years.
The National Comedy Theatre also presents corporate team building through our WITS Team Building program. We have worked with hundreds of corporations from Fortune 500 to non-profits.
Additionally, the show has performed for hundreds of private and corporate events throughout the city and across the country. We've entertained companies ranging from Apple to Xerox, as well as toured internationally with Armed Forces Entertainment.
