shamROCK St. Patrick's Day Festival

The 15th Annual Miller Lite shamROCK 2011, presented by Jameson Irish Whiskey and The Field, is ready to unleash more than just a bit o’ fun on the Gaslamp Quarter! So don your green, grab a pint and get ready to rock out from 4:00 PM to midnight.

 shamROCK is giving the Gaslamp Quarter a “wee” facelift as it transforms the streets into the rolling hills of Ireland with 60,000 square feet of green Astroturf.  sham ROCK will be showcasing three stages of live entertainment and stacking the line-up with the coolest DJ’s and latest Irish rock and punk bands.  Of course, we forgot to mention that we’ve got enough green beer, Jameson Irish Whiskey, and traditional Irish fayre from The Field to help you find your inner jig!

The main stage will start off with authentic music from Irish Folk Rock band the ShamROCKers from 4:00 to 5:00 PM, then join in and dance a jig with traditional Irish Step Dancers from The Field from 5:00 to 5:30 PM and 6:30 to 7:00 PM. Next up is The Fooks from 5:30 PM until 6:30 PM, adding its own twist of Rock to classic Celtic music.  Make sure to be at the Main Stage from 7:00 to 8:15 PM for the world famous headliner the YOUNG DUBLINERS! Next get ready to sing along to your favorite pub songs infused with an Irish Folk Punk twist with Lexington Field from 9:00 to 10:00 PM.  Last but certainly not least will be San Diego’s favorite Irish Punk Rock band, the Down’s Family from 10:30 to 11:30 PM.

If you want to take a break from the Irish bands and bust a move to some killer beats, shamROCK gives you two amazing stages to choose from The Field Stage or the Miller Lite DJ Stage, both featuring the hottest DJs in town. 

As always, shamROCK will once again be offering our designated driver program, with FREE rides home to anywhere in San Diego County to anyone with a shamROCK wristband. Pick up the shuttle at the corner of 5th Avenue and G Street.

Location: The Gaslamp Quarter, on “F” street between 5th and 7th Avenues, 6th Avenue between E and G Streets and G Street between 5th and 6th Avenues. The main entrance is located at 5th and G Street and with sellout crowds topping over 20,000 attendees for over a decade; you better get your tickets quick!
