The San Diego Watercolor Society proudly presents “Lay it on Thick, a Virtual Art Exhibition”. Enjoy great watermedia art 24/7 at www.SDWS.org.  Exhibit runs from August 30 - September 26, 2020. The paintings by our very talented members are shown in our online slide show and can be purchased through our Online Store.  Award-winning artist, Richard Glassman, is the juror.  Upon purchase, the paintings will be shipped to the buyer unframed.  Be sure to watch our website for updates regarding timelines for opening our physical Gallery at Liberty Station.  Until then, there will be a new Member Virtual Show each month for your enjoyment.

All tours culminate in breathtaking 360-degree views of San Diego from the Tower’s eighth-floor viewing deck–from the Pacific Ocean in the west to the Cuyamaca Mountains in the east, and beyond.

This unique and vibrant neighborhood festival brings out over 40,000 people from all over San Diego County to celebrate and enjoy live music, art, crafts, delicious food, cocktails and some of San Diego’s top Craft Beers.

Modeler Citizens Virtual Lecture Series

The San Diego Model Railroad Museum has debuted Modeler Citizens, a series of informative and entertaining presentations from an array of acclaimed railroad modelers and historians! 

The talks take place every other Thursday at 6 p.m. through the end of 2020 (excluding holidays) via Zoom Webinar. Margaret Harris, the museum’s Collections Curator, moderates as the featured speaker showcases their own model layout, shares a bit of San Diego railroading history, or discusses a topic of their expertise. Viewers can learn about the history of cross-border travel from railroad pro Mike Thornhill (Oct. 1), get “behind the scenes” of the mechanics and creation of the museum’s O Gauge layout from modeler Bob Wall (Dec. 10), see a fascinating home layout courtesy of award-winning radio host “Shotgun” Tom Kelly (Oct. 29), and more!
