61° FLearn how to write a short story in this supportive and constructive 5-week workshop with Robin Tung. In this class, students will learn how to write effective and vivid sentences and scenes with the goal of a complete short story at the end of the course. Discussions, readings, exercises and workshop are included. All levels are welcome!
The five-session workshop begins on Monday, November 12 and ends December 10. Classes will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at San Diego Writers, Ink loft space at 710 13th St. The cost of the class is $150-180 and registration can be completed online or before the first session.
Robin Tung received her MFA from Johns Hopkins University. Her work appears in Daily Serving, INK Magazine, The Labletter, The Montreal Review, NANO Fiction, Sugar House Review, Surface Magazine, This Recording, and Valparaiso Poetry Review. She received the 2006 Milton A. Saier Award for Fiction, a 2010 nomination for the Pushcart Prize, and a recent honorable mention for the New Millenium Writings Short-Short Fiction Award.
