Scott McGaugh is the founding (2004) marketing director of the USS Midway Museum and for 16 years was its brand architect. Today, Midway is one of the ten most-popular museums of any type in America.  Prior to that, he volunteered with other community leaders for eight years to bring the historic aircraft carrier to San Diego. He currently serves as the museum’s Director of Community Relations.  He has owned two of San Diego’s leading marketing agencies and has more than 30 years’ marketing experience in the San Diego hospitality and tourism industry, including the former San Diego Convention & Visitors Bureau, as well as several leading hotels.  He has served on several San Diego nonprofit boards of directors and is the author of 10 nonfiction books.  The San Diego native holds a degree from Arizona State University and studied international relations at Uppsala (Sweden) University.
