The 2016 San Diego Quilt Show's theme is "Show us Your Red, White and Blue," chosen to commemorate the election year.
"QUILT AMERICA - Show us Your Red, White, & Blue" is the theme for the 35th annual San Diego Quilt Show, to be held August 31 (Preview Night) through September 3. This theme was chosen to commemorate the election year. Contest entries for quilt or block challenge can be any interpretation of the theme that includes red, white, and blue.
Edyta Sitar, designer for Moda Fabrics, and founder/owner of Laundry Basket Quilts is our 2016 Guest Artist. Edyta's love for fabric, keen eye for color and early family teachings blended together made the recipe for a talent in creating amazing quilts, patterns and designer fabrics for Moda. She has published 8 books to date, been featured in magazines world-wide, and her quilts have been honored with many awards.
We are making plans for the best show yet! Enter a quilt or quilt challenge by July 1, 2016, enter the block challenge by August 1, 2016, and make plans to take a class or workshop! Sign ups will begin after February 1, 2016.
