The PGA TOUR’s Farmers Insurance Open is played annually at the Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla, home of the 2008 & 2021 U.S. Open. This boat tour provides visitors with an educational tour of San Diego Bay. The 45-minute Bay sightseeing tour takes guests out on the water in a large loop first heading toward North Island and the Aircraft Carriers, then stopping at buoy 22. Guests will then head just under Coronado Bridge and make a port (left) turn around one of the bridge pillars. The vessel then heads back towards the Maritime Museum along the downtown side of the waterfront.  Several attractions will be highlighted along the way as guests enjoy the fresh air and view.

Sheduled daily tour times Monday through Friday at 11:00 a.m. 12:45 p.m., 1:45 p.m. and 2:45 p.m.

Weekends: 11:00 a.m., 12:45 p.m., 1:45 p.m., 2:45 p.m. and 3:45 p.m.

Maritime Museum of San Diego is proud to welcome back Tim Flannery Saturday, December 21st 7:30-10:00 p.m. The beloved former San Diego Padres player, MLB broadcaster, and show announcer turned musician and philanthropist has performed his annual holiday concert aboard the Star of India for over 20 years. Backed by his ace band, the Lunatic Fringe, his songs come to life in a dynamic blend of bluegrass, country, and rock. This year Tim will be joined also by a few special guests. This concert is for 21+ guests only.

His ace band, the Lunatic Fringe, brings his songs roaring to life in various musical genres like bluegrass, country, and rock. Flan has three World Series Championship rings as a third-base coach with the San Francisco Giants, and he has released fifteen albums of original music over the years. 

The Maritime Museum of San Diego, whose mission is to serve as the community memory of our seafaring experiences by collecting, preserving, and presenting our rich maritime heritage and historic connections with the Pacific world, announces the opening of the new exhibit Celebrating the Sea: Exploring the Maritime Museum of San Diego’s Hidden Collection in the Compass Gallery on the ferryboat Berkeley. Entry to the new exhibit is included with general admission. October 2024 through July 2025 visitors can revel in a rare and rich tapestry of treasured maritime-themed art and admire notable artists’ work, embracing the nautical world of breathtaking coasts, artifacts & treasured ships.
