The San Diego Watercolor Society proudly presents “Vibrations”, juried by award-winning artist, Richard Hawk. The water-based media exhibition runs Feb 2, 2025 to Mar 1, 2025, at our Gallery in The ARTS DISTRICT Liberty Station. The Opening Reception is Friday, Feb 7, 5-8 pm with over 95 ready-to-hang original paintings plus refreshments and the fellowship of other art enthusiasts. Now in Liberty Station, the 3-day celebration features free admission, a number of new attractions, activities, games, food and live entertainment, including, but not limited to, A-list Vietnamese singers and performers, lion dancing, firecrackers and some of our most popular programs, the Miss Vietnam of San Diego pageant, Step-Up Dance and Golden Voice.

Please join us for this unique event presented in collaboration between the UC San Diego Stein Institute for Research on Aging and the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego. This event will feature a thought-provoking panel discussion on the intersection of art, aging, and the museum experience, followed by a guided tour of the Museum and a reception.

The panel will showcase the meaningful work being done by both organizations, supported by the Vitality Arts Program, to explore how art can engage, empower, and enrich the lives of older adults.

The Fleet Science Center invites guests who would benefit from a sensory-friendly experience to Accessibility Mornings. On the third Saturday of every month, visitors can enjoy admission to the exhibit galleries in a quieter setting, an hour before the museum opens to the public, and a special film screening with house lights on and a lower soundtrack volume. Visitors are welcome to stay and enjoy the museum all day.
