At this all-new installment of the event that debuted to popular acclaim in 2018 - you can meet the SeaWorld team and hear their personal stories about caring for animals.
Meet the vets, rescuers and behaviorists that make SeaWorld the incredible place that it is and ask the questions you’ve always wanted answered. Experience this one-of-a-kind, up-close event for two weekends this September!

*Special Access Behind-The-Scenes Tour to 3 Areas
1. SEAWORLD RESCUE CENTER
At the SeaWorld Rescue Center, meet the Rescue Team and learn about all they do for stranded and sick animals and hear from the animal experts from Hubbs SeaWorld Research Institute.
September 7th and 8th
Dr. Brent Stewart and Dr. Pam Yochem will speak about the HSWRI collaborative research on post-return behavior and survival of stranded marine mammals and sea turtles; links between stranded animal health and health of free-ranging seals and sea lions in southern California.
September 14th and 15th
Dr. Ann Bowles will speak on the HSWRI collaborative research on preventing harmful interactions between humans and marine mammals, such as entanglement in marine debris and fishing gear.
2. VETERINARY HOSPITAL
From penguins to sea stars to belugas and more. The SeaWorld Veterinary Hospital cares for all different types of patients. See where the veterinary team performs examinations, procedures and surgeries. Sneak a peak in the laboratory where all of the animal diagnostic samples are processed and studied. Maybe even catch one of the veterinarians in action doing an exam!
3. HUMBOLDT PENGUINS
While cold weather penguins may get all the attention, here is a chance to learn more about a “warm-weather” species of penguin, the Humbolt Penguin. Learn about conservation successes and challenges from penguin specialists.

-Killer Whales
How do you care for a killer whale? See how behaviorists and Veterinarians weigh the whales, complete body exams, conduct ultrasounds, perform hearing studies, and take samples to assess their overall health. Learn how the care of SeaWorld whales helps wild populations in never before seen graphics and live from the skywalks overlooking the killer whale care and research facility.
-Dolphins
Always a guest favorite! Get up close to dolphins and learn about their care from SeaWorld veterinarians and behaviorists. You may witness hydrations, body temperature, urine samples or blood draws which are all part of the dolphins’ daily care.
-Belugas

-Bird Rescue and Conservation
Special Access Behind-The-Scenes Area
San Diego is a migratory route for many endangered bird species, and they require very specialized care. The Bird Rescue Team has the hospital and necessary skills to care for them. Meet the Team and learn how they care for the birds and respond to an oil spill off the coast of San Diego.
