Join us for Legacy Week at the USS Midway Museum, the centerpiece of Memorial Day celebrations in San Diego. Legacy Week is a heartfelt tribute to our military's valor and sacrifices, offering a series of events designed for everyone to experience the spirit of honor, remembrance, and celebration. From the exhilarating Top Gun Maverick Party & Movie Night and exclusive encounters with aviators with their aircraft to a solemn Memorial Day Wreath Ceremony, Legacy Week encapsulates the essence of Memorial Day weekend.

This hilarious interactive show puts visitors right in the middle of the pirate action. Participants will be sworn in as part of the ship crew, trained how to navigate, sword fight, bail water from a sinking ship, escape from the King’s Jail, swab the deck and other pirate skills. Performances are 90 minutes.

Choose from two show times at 10:30 a.m. and 12:45 p,m. (please check-in 15~30 minutes before)

General admission included making the experience an excellent value and opportunity to explore the waterfront museum fleet and exhibits before or after your Boarded experience.

2024 Boarded Pirate Adventure dates are Saturdays on March 23, May 18, July 13, Sept 21, Oct 19, Nov 30 and Dec 28.

These popular 90-minute Pirate-themed performances are staged aboard the Maritime Museum of San Diego’s 16th century Spanish galleon San Salvador. Guests will be fully engaged in pirate theatrics at the dock and underway on San Diego Bay. This hilarious interactive show puts visitors right in the middle of the pirate action. Avid readers, casual book browsers, and reading fans of all ages are invited to join the Museum’s free monthly Book Swap Surprise! To participate, bring a gently used book that deserves a new home and leave with a new-to-you book of your own. 
 
Each book swap will begin with time and supplies to wrap your book and write a brief description or message to its new reader.  
 
How the book swap works: 
Bring a book to add to the exchange.  
Upon arrival, wrap your book and write a brief description from your perspective.  
Engage in facilitated discussion about your books – while keeping the title a surprise! 
Choose a new book to take with you and enjoy.
