San Diego Bayfair's World Series of Powerboat Racing - a family festival tradition for more than 40 years speeds to the finish line. The 2023 event has been postponed to September 13-15, 2024.

San Diego horse racing takes place where the "turf meets the surf" at the Del Mar Racetrack. Fans flock to the track each summer to wager on their favorite horses during the popular, annual Del Mar Racetrack racing season, mid-July - early-September. Be part of the magic and nostalgia of this long-time horse race tradition dating back to 1937 when Bing Crosby greeted the first guests, and Seabiscuit won by a nose in the infamous race in 1938. This season features the nation's top racehorses, trainers and jockeys, and plenty of fun in the sun.

The popular monthly outdoor grilling event series Playing with Fire returns to The Lodge at Torrey Pines for another season. Join us for a special collaboration dinner featuring guest chef Marty Fay from Sandpiper Wood Fired Grill & Oysters, along with The Lodge’s Executive Chef Kelli Crosson. Bring your appetite to savor a variety of proteins and seasonal sides cooked over a wood-burning fire. Sip on pours from this event's featured local brewery, Pure Project Brewing, while enjoying scenic views of the Torrey Pines Golf Course on The Grill’s outdoor patio.

A portion of the event's proceeds benefits PADI AWARE Foundation, a nonprofit with a mission to ‘Drive local action for global ocean conservation’ that is carried out through citizen science, public policy, and community grants.
